The Abyss is a large chasm in the heart of the Western continent that stretches across multiple countries. It is approximately 12km (7.45mi) deep.
The Abyss is home to many unique fauna, known as Abyssal Beasts. The unique flora of the Abyss are known as Abyssal Growths.
The Abyss is divided into Levels based off depth and ecosystem. There are currently 4 Levels, spanning 9.74km (6.05mi) deep.
Levels 5 and 6 have yet to be explored, and it is unknown whether they are one ecosystem/Level or two.
Level 0 is often used to describe the surface-level ecosystem surrounding the Abyss, and their interactions with the Level 1 ecosystem.
Level 1 ranges from the surface to approximately 1.53km (0.95mi) deep. Many surface fauna and flora make their home here.
Among the unique Level 1 fauna are the hexapodal hare, the longarm, the handwalker, the indigo centipede, and the two-tailed monkey.
Among the unique flora are the cone lily, the baby blue blossomwood, the miniature cedar, the purple strawberry, the thickstalk, and the angel's eye mushroom.
